The Jubilee Orpington was named in honor of the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Queen Victoria’s reign. The Queen received a flock of these regal birds as part of the celebration. Their deep mahogany bodies are covered with flecks of ruby and emerald; it’s no wonder why they were named for British Royalty. Their large bodies make them completely flightless and a two-foot fence is all you for these extravagant birds. They are a friendly, gentle bird and prolific layers of large brown eggs.
